Students, learn about FLAS opportunities

Two information sessions for students interested in applying for Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) awards for Summer 2013 and the 2013-14 academic year are scheduled (please note different times for graduate and undergraduate applicants):

  • Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in 206 Ingraham Hall: 2-3 p.m. for undergraduate applicants; 3:30-4:30 p.m. for graduate applicants
  • Thursday, January 24, 2013, in 206 Ingraham Hall: 2-3 p.m. for undergraduate applicants; 3:30-4:30 p.m. for graduate applicants

FLAS fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered at UW-Madison by the National Resource Centers to assist students in acquiring foreign language and either area or international studies competencies. FLAS awards are only available for specific languages, and are contingent on federal funding. Please direct any questions to the FLAS Coordinator of your chosen language.
